Who Needs Sleep

It always happens.

Once we decide we are going to spend our “grown up time” after the kids go to bed watching a movie, they are up. They don’t feel good, they can’t sleep, they’re thirsty. Last night was long and probably the reason we rarely do that.

The kids go to bed at 8 every night. We are usually in bed by 8:30, maybe 9. Last night we decide to watch a movie even though we are both dead tired. Finally, its lights out at 11 only to wake up an hour later to a beast of a little girl saying she can’t sleep and doesn’t feel good.

We let her climb into bed with us but then she proceeds to talk, whine and constantly move. I don’t know how parents do this part of parenting. Stay up late and then deal with monsters all night. I would much rather go to bed at 8:30, get woken up at midnight and have to deal with their whinniness. I know I’d be in a much better mood having slept at least a little. After all, it’s not like we have a lot going on or a lot to do lately.

To top it off the night before it was Levi’s turn. At least that night we did go to bed at 8:30. (we are old haha) He was sleep walking. First time he has ever done that. He came to our room but he was also freaking out about one thing or another. We got him into our bed only for him to freak out half the night in his sleep. It reminded me of when Delylah hallucinates because her temperature is spiking. Only he had no fever. It was another FUN night!

So with 2 nights under our belts with little to no sleep, getting our real estate stuff done today will be FUN! What would life be like without a challenge every now and then!?

It is true- People who say they sleep like babies/kids, usually don’t have them!

Happy Wednesday!
