Welcome to another…
You might get tired of these posts but there is so much to be thankful for everyday. Things some people might over look and take for granted. I know that I used to and I will never do that again!
Today I am thankful to be in the position to GIVE. To help when someone is having a hard time. Not only to be an ear to listen but give someone a friend. To give someone groceries. To be able to buy presents for other people at Christmas. I can not begin to tell you how good it feels to be able to do that and I am extremely thankful for it.
I am thankful for my fake Christmas tree. It’s our first one ever and there are no pine needles all over my floor and I never forget to water it. My cats mess with the ornaments and tree and it doesn’t break or fall apart. It looks beautiful still and I will be able to use for years to come.
I am Thankful for Levi’s math teacher. She has been such a big help with Levi’s transition here, she will never know how much she means to us. Levi is now doing great! All A’s and B’s and comes home from school everyday happy!
I am thankful for our blower. It’s fall and here that means everything falls. All the trees are losing their leaves and there is pine needles everywhere daily. Instead of using the shop broom to sweep it all off the concrete, I can just use the blower and I’m done in no time. Such a convenient thing to own. It might be silly to be thankful for that but It’s a huge time saver and helps keep people from tracking things in my house.
I read a parenting book a few years ago. It has helped me change my outlook on parenting and taught me how to speak to my children and other people better. Because of this, my kids are more kind, respectful and responsible. We are all more understanding towards people and situations. I am Thankful that I can share that with other people in the hopes of easing some stress and creating better adults for our kids generation.
My smile. I walk into a store packed with people, have to wait in a long line to check out but still I smile. Your smile is contagious and your mood affects other people. Once I get to the register with my smile, the person there smiles back even if they weren’t with the last costumer. I got on a plane and everyone had sour faces. I was smiling and as I walked by an older gentlemen he said hello with a big smile on his face and asked how I was. I did the same and I could tell he felt good! I am thankful for my ability to keep my smile no matter what!
It’s getting closer to Christmas and people become concerned with receiving gifts and not being thankful for the little things in life, let alone the gifts they receive. Take some time to think about what is truly important this holiday season.
What are you thankful for today??
Happy Thursday My Friends
