Ridiculous Answers

All day, every day I am kept busy with kids, chores, school work. It’s life, right? When the kids ask me to do something for them I comply when I can or just help them accomplish whatever it may be.

What about when I ask the kids to do something for me? I get ridiculous answers such as- In a minute. I did that last time. I’m too tired. I just can’t. But why? Huh? Were you talking to me? Why do I have to do it?

Or I have to say it at least 5 times before it even registers and by that point I have gotten a little perturbed. I’m thinking maybe it’s time I answer them with he same ridiculous come backs that they give me. I believe it will help me wooo-sah. Here are some examples and you may or may not be able to relate with what the kids are sometimes asking.

Kid-Can you get me a snack? (me) I’m too tired.

Can you get me something to drink? In a minute.

Can I play video games? But why?

I need help making my bed. Huh? Were you talking to me?

Can my friends come over? I’m too tired.

I lost my (favorite toy), can you help me find it? I did that last time.

Can you fix my computer? Why do I have to do it?

Why is he allowed to do that?(or why is he allowed to eat that) Huh? Were you talking to me?

Imagine if every time the kids asked you something you came back with the ridiculous things they say to you. I would find it funny which would piss Levi off and probably make Delylah cry. I would find comfort in it actually. Being a child again and not having to a real reason just a ridiculous answer! We might have to try it out for a day and see if they stop answering me like that. They don’t always answer me ridiculously. They don’t always answer me at all. I would still find it quite amusing. I’m laughing already just thinking about it. I might be a terrible mother!

Happy Tuesday my friends.

Life is better when you’re laughing!
