We have been busy making more memories and having fun doing it!
The other day we drove around our neighborhood looking at Christmas lights. Some of the people in our immediate neighborhood go all out! It was wonderful to drive around together, looking at the lights and pointing out our favorites!
Delylah and I went and got our nails done. I usually do this myself but since we moved I have taken her once or twice and she loves it. All my nails were breaking off too and I decided it was time for something different. She was so excited and made sure to show everyone we encountered when we got home.
We had a craft day and invited some friends over to partake in the madness. There was paint and stickers everywhere. But the kids all had a great time and now have something from our new friendship and our first Holiday together! Elf hats, Christmas tree and gingerbread man and woman ornaments and foam gingerbread houses!
Since our day consisted of Christmas crafting and playing games we ended our night with mine and Travs favorite Christmas movie. “It’s A Wonderful Life.” Every time I watch that movie it makes me thankful for all that I have and all that I am able to give. When George runs into his house yelling “Merry Christmas” to the tax man and everyone else, knowing he is about to go to jail but doesn’t care anymore because he has a wonderful life he has been blessed with, makes me smile. It is the true meaning of Christmas. It doesn’t matter how much you have. It is the type of person you are to others. What you give without expecting anything in return. It doesn’t matter how rich or poor you are with money. How rich are you with love? I just love that movie!
Our Holiday vacation has started off great with the kids. I am excited to see what the next week leading up to Christmas brings us. 5 more days until Santa arrives!
What have you been up to?
