How It Went

Christmas has come and gone and now it’s time to move on. Right? Not really. Now it’s time to clean up the mess, finish putting together any gifts the kids received and have more fun!

We had decided this year to ask the kids what they REALLY wanted and what they REALLY needed. Turns out it wasn’t very much. Had I not asked, I probably would’ve went crazy buying them crap they wouldn’t play with like I do every year! So they didn’t receive a ton of gifts like they usually do and it turned out to be one of the best Christmas’ ever!

The look on their faces when they opened their gifts that they really, truly wanted was priceless. The fact that they continued to play with those gifts throughout the day was even better. I believe they were more appreciative this year than any other year and there aren’t presents still in opened boxes. Usually there is too much and they don’t even play with or open some of them.

Christmas for us is a little drawn out starting with family Christmas parties the beginning of December, to Christmas Eve with more family and then to be finished off by our Family Christmas at home. Even with all of that the kids seemed to enjoy it more this year.

Our Christmas was more than amazing. We got to spend it with family and friends. Share food and good times with our loved ones. It was more simple than past years and I believe that’s what made it spectacular! This will be what we do for the years to come!

I hope everyone’s Christmas was bountiful in love and happiness!
