Fabulous Friday On A Saturday

During my not so busy day yesterday, I had every intention of writing a Fabulous Friday post. If you are a follower of my blog you know that didn’t happen.

Yesterday I spent most of the day just hanging with the neighbor and the evening was spent having movie time with other neighbors and kids. There were many things that made the day Fabulous.

I was finally able to do a head stand and hold it for probably a minute! While I haven’t been able to do it since, I felt amazing and accomplished after I had done it!

To top that off, today I was able to do a handstand and hold it! My yoga skills are strengthening just like my inner peace! Woo! That makes me feel so good!

We finally have monarch caterpillars on our milkweed plants! We are excited to watch their  metamorphosis and document it with photos. Assuming they don’t get eaten by vicious, man-eating Texas bugs!

Travis and I had to make our bee hive smaller and in doing so we removed frames. The bees were not happy with so much room and weren’t even utilizing it all. We saved a frame that was half eaten because it looks super cool. I happen to notice something weird in it and broke open some capped combs. It turned out to be eggs. Baby bees! Of course I snapped some photos. It’s pretty awesome to be able to see this part of the hive, which we would not usually see!

We stayed up late watching movies, eating popcorn and then cleaning up our mess before going to bed. There was no complaining, no fighting and the mess was minimal. What more could I ask for on a Friday night?

Today we are having a small swimming get together. Last year during school, we hardly used the pool. I’m glad to have kids coming over, playing in the pool and back yard! It doesn’t take a lot of work to take care of the pool, it just takes consistency which can sometimes feel like a lot of work. It will be a fabulous day by the pool, in the sunshine and humidity!

The weeks have been going by so fast. I can hardly believe that it’s the middle of September already. There have been many things happening with my family back home in California that make me miss it even more. I count the days until my next visit! Which happens to be Thanksgiving (a small trip before hand but not for pleasure so I’m not counting it). It will be here before I know it!

Remember, it doesn’t matter what is going on in your life at this very moment. There are things happening everyday that still make it Fabulous!

Happy Saturday My Friends
