My kids are my everything. Well, them and Travis. But there are certain times they push my buttons. Annoy the shit out of me. Get on my nerves. Bother me to no end!
It seems every single time we are checking out from ANY store is when they all of sudden want to touch each other to the point of someone getting hurt. It involves them both getting angry, someone crying and me getting upset. No matter how many times I ask them to stop or separate them, without fail while checking out, they are pestering each other. Someday I will be able to go shopping by myself!!
When they are hungry. They are so hungry that they can’t decide what to eat. They get upset and begin to cry. Over food! You’ve got to be kidding me!? The pantry is full, the fridge is full. You can have whatever you want and instead you cry because you can’t decide? Just craziness!
Playing video games. They usually play pretty well together. There is the occasional time when Delylahs remote plugs in as 1st player or she doesn’t play exactly right. She’s only 6. Levi freaks out. She gets mad. They fight. Over a damn game! Then I step in and they lose their privilege to play the games!!!!!
When I talk and they don’t hear me. It’s like they were born with a super ability to ignore me even when I’m right in front of them. Turning off the T.V and making sure my face is 2 inches away from theirs seems to help. God help me when they become teenagers.
As soon as I get on the phone is when they need or want me. For something completely random. Or that is when they decide to fight, scream and be loud.
When I walk in their bathroom and their toilet hasn’t been flushed in who knows how long! Their bathroom smells like something died in there! A reason I REFUSE to clean their bathrooms. Surprisingly, they don’t mind cleaning it when it reeks like that! BLAH! Recently, I started making them check their bathrooms constantly or they aren’t allowed to have any fun. They are getting better.
I love my kids. When they get along, they play together like they are the best of friends. When they don’t….well, you can tell they are brother and sister. When they are pestering each other at the store, they are just trying to get an outsiders attention. They want other people to notice them. They are little free spirits and I love them even when they are driving me crazy! I think….
What are some ways your kids drive you crazy??
