All You Need Is Love

Getting out of the habit of writing can sometimes make it hard to get back into the habit. It is a goal of mine to be consistent with my writing whether it’s my blog or my journal, and make sure to get it in daily but I have been failing since going on vacation. Today is a new day.

Vacation was great but there was a lot of emotions involved this time. Emotions I don’t think me and the kids expected to feel. I have actually been stewing on them since arriving home and then heard a song on the radio on my way to yoga this morning. Listening to the lyrics and actually hearing them, it all hit me.

“All You Need Is Love”

Let me explain.

Everyone does things differently. Parents. Cooks. Cleans. Walks. Talks. Drinks. Eats. Dresses. Drives. Loves. Everything. Everyone does everything different. Does that make it not the right way? NO. Just different. Does that mean you be rude or mean because someone does things different from you and you don’t understand why or it makes you frazzled or frustrated? NO. I personally don’t care how anyone does anything. I just try to be helpful in any way I can when I see that someone needs help. Even the way people help each other is different.

The lyrics…

There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done
Nothing you can sing that can’t be sung
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It’s easy

Nothing you can make that can’t be made
No one you can save that can’t be saved
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time
It’s easy

Nothing you can know that isn’t known
Nothing you can see that isn’t shown
Nowhere you can be that isn’t where you’re meant to be
It’s easy

All you need is love (All together, now!)
All you need is love (Everybody!)
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

You can do anything. You can say anything. You can be anything. The right way, the wrong way. There is no real way. Every way is different. If at the end of the day there is love, how could you have gone wrong? Maybe we didn’t agree on everything and maybe we do things extremely different. Things could have been handled differently yes but at the end of every day there was still love.

Thank you to The Beatles for helping me get over the Bull Shit and moving on.
