A Whirlwind Of A Week

It has been a whirlwind of a week and I can not believe it has been that long since I wrote last. Much has happened and not happened all at the same time.

I had a doctor’s appointment to follow-up after my colonoscopy. I am still having issues so we are moving on to the next intestine and probably will continue on after that. The doctor put me on some medicine that is supposed to help my stomach from cramping and told me to continue the FODMAP diet. For anyone that has ever done this diet, how do you survive? I have learned to incorporate different things into my diet and still I lose weight. I’m always hungry and traveling is so hard!

I left the kids for the weekend and went to New York for a good friends wedding. Going to New York was awesome but trying to find food while traveling all day was difficult. Traveling like that was difficult. Flying all day Friday. Partying all day and night Saturday and then flying again all day Sunday. I was happy to finally see my kids and my bed last night. But seeing my old friend on his wedding day and finally meeting his bride was marvelous. The wedding was beautiful and I had so much fun! Hanging out with my California family was a plus too!

I did some sight-seeing while I was there and explored the small village of Cooperstown. I went to the Baseball Hall of Fame Museum and hiked through Glimmerglass State Park (not for very long, it was freezing). The buildings are beautiful in this small village.

Today of course, it’s back to reality. I have quite a bit to do but am in no hurry to get any of it done. The kids are off to school and I am enjoying the quiet, my coffee and my thoughts.

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend as much as I did. Happy Monday My Friends
