Texas So Far….

So far…..

I think I like Texas! The people are nice.  The neighborhoods where we are looking are good. The schools in our zones are great and there are tons of opportunities for our children here.

After a day of house hunting I am tired. But we have narrowed it down to a good 2 homes and I think out of the 2 I know which one I want. Let’s hope it’s the right one. Hopefully we can get our offer in tomorrow, it gets accepted and we move on. Moving ASAP is a priority so we don’t have to pay for Travis to travel longer than we have to.

So many people told me that people in Texas weren’t very nice. We haven’t met one rude person yet. Granted we haven’t been here very long but everyone is very kind and welcoming. I’m excited to extend our life journey here.

I am very happy with the area we have chosen. The atmosphere around us is somewhat like we get back at home. Caring, small town and fun!

Tomorrow we continue the process and hopefully we end with a good solid offer!

Don’t settle. Stick with what you want no matter where it is!

Happy Friday Night!

The Next Chapter

Here we go.

The beginning of our new life journey. Travis and I head to Texas to look at homes and decide where the next stop on our adventure is going to be. I am excited to look at all the places that are possibilities for us and check out the town where our kids will continue to grow. They are not excited but hopefully after our trip and finding all the fun stuff there is to do there, they will start to be a little excited about our new life adventure.

It was a late night with the morning coming in a little too hot! Never the less, here we are. Taking our life day by day and approaching the terminal with a plan. A plan that will keep our family together and stronger than ever.

When you take on a problem together, as a unit, each person ends up appreciating every step that much more.

Here’s to the next chapter in our story. I think it’s going to be a paperback but a hard cover is more appealing.

The Excitement Of A Lesson

My kids have been asking to go to LegoLand, Disneyland, Universal Studios…anywhere. They don’t care where, as long as we go to one of them. (especially now that we are moving away) Just to get into any of those places is expensive as all hell.

I have told them for months if they save all their change/money they get, we will turn it into cash and if they each collected enough for their own tickets we would go. That time has come. They have both collected massive amounts of change from everywhere and saved all their chore and birthday money. Now they need to decide which place to go and we can spend a day having fun!

By doing it this way I think they will appreciate it more. They are paying for themselves to go where they want. A lesson they have learned young and didn’t fight me on. I’m excited to go. Minus all the people and still needing money for food, the kids learned a valuable lesson and deserve to reap the benefits from it!

When trying to teach your kids a lesson remember when you tell them they tend to forget. If you teach them they have a chance of remembering. If you involve them they will learn!

Happy Wednesday!

In The Realm Of The Gypsy

At some point everyone wishes they could live like a Gypsy. Travel and see the world with their free spirit and love of life.

You don’t have to travel to be a gypsy. You have to change your way of thinking. Once you realize YOU have control over yourself, you tend to feel free. You don’t let things bother you and you see the positivity and greatness in everything. You actually end up living a happier, fuller life! Here are some tips to help you on your gypsy journey.

No one is too old for a fairytale.

Every positive thought propels you in the right direction.

Take a walk on the wild side.

If you want something you have never had, you must do something you have never done.

Some people will say you’re going the wrong way. It is simply a way of YOUR own.

Always choose the adventure!

Love is what binds us. Respect is what unites us.

All good things are wild and free.

If you have inner peace, no one can force you to be a slave of the outer reality.

Celebrate life. All LIFE!

Drink the wild air and live in the sunshine!

Don’t be afraid to have that alternative lifestyle.

The free spirit is rare but you know it when you see it, basically because you feel very good when you are near or with them.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones that you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails and explore, dream and discover! We are all wanderers here on this earth. Our hearts are full of wonder and our souls are deep with dreams!

Happy Tuesday
